Like for instance a discussion on partner up was titled social media doesn't work. This thread was started by a woman by the name of [name]. The thread went on with lots of people leaving comments. As time went on two people in the room became increasingly angry and hateful. Those two people...are nasty people who only care about themselves. [They] both own old traditional marketing companies online. This is why she and he were hating on Social media. [name] said: "Holy Cow! I just went back and realized that Blogger's School was a truck driver and now is a Social Media business consultant. I rest my case." Meaning that social media is going to fail because a truck driver is giving out business advice. Then she said (here is that post): "I'm over you guys. You can't talk facts to recent "I've found the answer to life!" converts. You'll be on to the next big thing as soon as this dies down. Lots of assumptions going on, which reflect on you, not me. Nothing against truck drivers...the nation would probably grind to a halt without them. That doesn't make them fit to give business advice." At the end of this Gary Vee video he mentions Cashiers, truck drivers and CEO's on the same level for success.
