Update: November 13: A passersby stopped me in the Champs de Mars today, offered me her camera, indicating that she wanted me to take a picture. I assumed they wanted a shot of herself with the Eiffel Tower in the background, but she pointed to my dog instead. </i>"Non, non! Avec le chien, síl vous-plait!" </i> Bogey dutifully sat at her side, and I snapped the shot. A man several feet away who had been watching then approached me. Despite the language barrier, his intent was clear: He wanted a picture with the dog, too. My case rests.
